HOME VISITS:
To teach and assist with positioning and latch on skills; observation of mother and baby during a feed; baby's weight checked before and after feeding to verify milk transfer. Addressing basic concerns such as: sore nipples, engorgement, thrush, and low milk supply. During home visit if needed, a plan of care will be developed for mother and baby.
TELEPHONE OR EMAIL COUNSELING:
For established clients who have had a Lactation Visit, no charge for follow up phone calls.
For nonestablished clients, brief telephone assistance and referrals are at no charge.
FEES:
For the First initial Home Visit - $50.00 (price for service areas only, see contact page).
Additional Mileage of over 30 miles - $25.00
If a follow-up visit is required a charge of $25.00 will be applied.
Telephone or Email follow-ups are at no charge.
REFFERALS:
To lactation consultants, local area support and support groups are free of charge.
